Hum? My bracket is screwed up, so I'm rooting for a Butler/West Virginia final...

Things I have noticed so far with the NCAA tournament:

the refs LOVE Duke and proved that, even with the announcers...
can't stand that white boy that plays for Duke (yup, hard to tell what number since half the team is white) ***edit to add it's number 30, he reminds me of a ghetto white boy the way he plays on the court...
heartbreaking loss for the Volunteers, I was really rooting for them...
though it made me rejoice to see Kentucky go down (I know I should be rooting for the SEC, but I just can't cheer for the cheater that is named John Calipari...
Baylor has come back from so much... a murder coverup for one
I wonder if the final four will get good ratings, especially since not the major teams that the nation picked in their brackets are there...

I hope that sooner or later the Hogs are back... but with JL running the show and not firing JP I have to think we will never get there again. But anyway, there is always baseball, right?

It has been a while

Nothing has changed. I'm still writing—searching for an agent—but I will NEVER give up. This is my dream. Some dreams may never come true, but I will never quit. No matter how many no's I get. Rejection is hard, but I knew this when I decided that I wanted to become a writer. Right now, I’m working on a new book—revising it before I query the next victims… I mean agents. I really don’t look forward to that—writing the query that is—but I do love the thrill of seeing that little 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5… appear on my iPhone. You’ve Got Mail! I want this book to be the one. So far, with all the books I have written, it’s my favorite. Fayettenam I call it. It’s a historical fiction young adult. So, I go back to editing, revising, and reading. Hopefully, in the sometime near future, I will have good news to share, but if I don’t, I will continue working on my craft—getting better—writing better—and sooner or later, I will be a published writer! I have to believe in myself, if I don’t, who else will, right?

I've been a Hog fan before I was born! My first game was when I was three months old (my parents were crazy) we went to an away game to Baylor! (We lived in Arkansas at the time), Hogs Won!

I’ve never truly tailgated, but I would love to, when I have lots of money to do it right (come on book deal, Ha!) But I’ve gone to almost every game and been to several away games, especially with the band, I’ve been to Texas, Mississippi State, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, (I have six more to go to in the SEC), can’t wait for Georgia next year, I’ve always wanted to go to Athens. And been to almost all the Bowl Games! I love being a HOG! My Dad says when I get married (he has it planned out by the way), since it’s kind of sacrilegious to get married in the South on a football weekend, even if it’s an away weekend (according to my family it is), my Dad says, get married EARLY Saturday morning on the UA grounds, on Old Main lawn, then have the reception in the PIT (LOT 44), then call those HOGS in DWRRS, I swear my Dad is crazy, but you have to admit that would be FUN! I’ve just got to find a guy to go along with that!

When I graduated high school (Dodge City, Kansas), I chose not to go to KU or K-State but instead traveled back down South (the state I was born in) to attend the University of Arkansas. I was in the Razorback Marching Band, and I "played" the clarinet...

I hated (still hate) games being in Little Rock, especially when it is raining…

Because God decreed a miracle, (Miracle on Markham I) the Hogs got to Atlanta and because I was in the band we had to go too. Here some of us in TBS (band sorority) in the Georgia Dome…

Game day on the rode… (I don’t remember where though)

This trip was so fun, not just because the Hogs won! (YAY!) This is the UA TBS and UT TBS, after we won everyone went and ate BEVO! Ha!

UA TBS and UK TBS at the seven-overtime game in Lexington… that was a nail biting game, it didn’t end until the next day! Got to love Eastern Time Zone!

This is the BOOT! If you connect the state of Arkansas and the state of Louisiana it forms a boot shape, whoever wins the game gets to keep the boot for the year. Thanks to the Miracle on Markham II Hogs have it! (That was also the last game I ever marched in *tear*)

The Dallas Cowboy Stadium. Awesome. We sat so close to the field, it was crazy.

I can’t wait till next year to go again!

My observations as I sat in HELL, I mean the student section of DWRRS, I'm first scared for our country, I sat by many future leaders of America, I am worried. Anyway about the game:

* Unsportsmanlike calls are dumb! It's football, get over it! But if the refs call it, I wish that they would call it both ways!

* We need a kicker, punter ASAP! We should have open tryouts on campus next week, that's what I would do!

* Franklin being ejected in the first half for "unsportsmanlike" actions was dumb! It's football for goodness sake!

* The Refs had an agenda last night! They seriously need to be evaluated! I'm sick and tired of seeing college football beings decided by such BS calls.

* #73 needs to learn how to stand still so we don't keep on getting those false start calls, I counted at least five times that happening

* Same #73 needs to learn not to hold

* Mallet did awesome, or as Corso called him, Ma'let

* Willy (defensive coach) needs to be FIRED today! We don't need to wait till the end of the season. Do it Now!

* AT&T sucks in DWRRS! No signal at all! It's funny because AT&T sponsors Razorback football! I sat next to a boy with a Verizon phone and he had service.

* The City of Fayetteville (cops, schools, everybody) needs a better way out after the game, it was awful!

* The Best in Pride and Sound (the band) still sucks. Gunter was "fired" and you get a new guy, same crap! Music is blah but the marching is still very high school, Pratchard needs to be fired! He's the one who designs that crap! (I can say this, I am an alumni of the band)

* The crowd was awesome, people stayed, people were standing for a lot of the game

* My feet hurt though, still today, the day after

Those are my thoughts on last nights game against Georgia, next week is Alabama, I really want to go, but since we are planning on going to the Texas A&M game in Dallas and the Ole Miss game, who knows. But anyway, the Hogs are 1-1 and still have more football to play, I just hope we get better so it won't be a loooong season!

Yes, I can admit it, I was curious about Lauren Conrad's book and after seeing someone mention that she had her book release party, I was even more curious to what the heck it was about. So I went over to amazon and searched and found that you could read the very first chapter of the book. So I read it. It was a short first chapter, which to be honest, I like short first chapters, especially if you are in a bookstore, and to see if you want to spend all that money on a book, I read the first chapter. But other than that, it reminded me of an episode of The Hills. Ha! And to be really honest about L.A. Candy, (first chapter that is) ... yawn

I haven't bet on a horse in a long time... the last horse I placed a bet on was Eight Belles... and I felt I was responsible for her untimely death... remember she had to be put down right on the track. AHHHH! It was sad... and that was the last time I placed a bet...
But that doesn't mean that I don't watch the races on TV. Once in my life I want to go to a horse race, one that they put on NBC, for example the Kentucky Derby and wear a pretty dress and a big hat! How fun would that be?
Today, I watched as everyone went gaga over Mind that Bird, I had a feeling that he wouldn't win... Karma!
I say karma because that jockey did not ride Mind that Bird for the Preakness, instead rode Rachel Alexander, I honestly think that horses know when they are not wanted, IMO, so I knew that Mind that Bird was not going to win, "I won't be any one's sloppy seconds!" Ha!
And that trainer guy that is hobbling along on crutches throwing his jockey underneath the bus... bad bad bad!
That trainer guy should always take the good and the bad, and never blame anyone else... karma, dude, karma!!!
But other than that, it was nice to see Smart Bird win...
Maybe in the future, I'll have the courage to place a bet on a horse... without the possibility of that horse having to be put down...

"It’s that time again, the time where the NFL is controlling my addiction to football. Every sports channel on my cable system is spewing out information on this draft year. Girls this is a time where we are left with our mouths permanently open with drool rolling down our cheeks as we watch what it seems like for days from combine to combine as boys walk across a stage with no shirts on in their tighty-whitey’s, while grown men are yelling out stats on them; height, weight, favorite food, lefty or a righty, do they have a serious girlfriend. Especially the last question is the best; come on like you all did not want to know that one. You feel like you’re at Christie’s with a bidding paddle, I’ll take white boy number 5. That would be a great idea!

The whole Miss California controversy is scary. Really scary!!! I don’t care what she said; it’s how everyone is treating her for voicing HER opinion. I thought we live in this great country were we can voice our opinions without having someone call people names. I can’t believe that it has been ten years since Columbine. I remember where I was when I heard what had happened. I was in journalism class in the basement at Dodge City High School. We were having a work night, and instead of working to get the paper out we watched the news. Even at my school after that day it went from being what if this happens, to what do we do when this happens. Time maybe has past but the memory is still there. The classmates, teachers, staff, family, and friends are in my prayers today.

It’s the 14 anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing. I cannot believe it has been 14 years. A few years ago, was the first time I have ever been to OKC to see the memorial. I was there for a TBS district convention and we decided before we left to come back to Fayetteville we would go and visit the memorial. It was very eerie. I cannot imagine what it was like; I remember watching it on television, like the rest of the country. But seeing images on a screen does not equal that of what was going on. We must not forget… the victims and their families are in my prayers today.

Who would have thought, Arkansas would ever be a team to go on the road and play in front of a sold out crowd. Certainly not I. but that’s what we did, Arkansas played Georgia. They only hold like 3,000 or so seats so I guess it really was not that big of a crowd (Arkansas can hold up to 12,000 plus) we lost on Friday night, lost on Saturday, but we won on Sunday. At least Georgia did not sweep us!

Spring Football…

I love this time of year. Basketball is just ended; baseball is in full swing, which means spring football is here! The Hogs red and white game was on Saturday. It had been raining all day, so I was a little worried that it would be raining at the football game, thank God it wasn’t. I think the Hogs are going to have a pretty good year this season. Ryan Mallet will probably start, and if he doesn’t there will probably be hell to pay. And he can punt too. It was all and all a good red and white game. The one thing that bothered me was the Razorback fans. Sometimes they are some of the most unintelligent fans ever. Come on, know your football!!!! What do I know they all probably still like Nutt!

Movies put on student/faculty/staff at NWACC, can I just say, I can tell. But I give them prompts for going out and doing their dreams/passions. Some were really good, like the one about this guy getting canned. I can’t believe it only got third place. It should have gotten first. Then one that got second was okay, but I think all the f words, the s words and every other word in the dictionary was a little not necessary. But what do I know; Mafus is filled with those words, but their terrorists… I don’t see terrorist using nice language. And what is up with fat guys, they don’t seem to mind showing their naked bodies. I saw… ewww! Just don’t! Anyway, it was all and all an okay showing of amateur talent.

We were doing so good… we beat the number one team in the country, Arizona State on Tuesday and then on Wednesday… but just as all Hog fans should know, we fell apart. We played like crap against Vandy. It was embarrassing! Thank God that the Sunday game was canceled, or we would have laid an egg for that game too… sometimes it’s very hard to be a Arkansas Razorback’s fan!

Well the NCAA Championship game is set: Michigan State vs. North Carolina. Honestly, I don't really care who wins, but I will be pulling for Michigan State only because I don't like the UNC coach at all. I think what he did to KU was very rude, I can't get over it, (and I'm not even a KU fan ha!) The game is on tomorrow night right after Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. I like Big Bang, I hate How I met... I'm like get on with it already, tell us who the mother is!!! Anyway, the first Bush is speaking at the UofA Barnhill arena tomorrow night, so I'm like, go hear GHB or watch the game??? I don't know what to do. But I still have a day to decide. This post was really random... but whatever... ha!

I have lived in Arkansas, Delaware, Texas, and Kansas, my brother was born in Delaware, he is the only Yankee in the family!
My very first Hog football game was when I was 3 months old, it was an away trip to Baylor, I have no idea what my parents were thinking!
Favorite author/book: In Cold Blood by Truman Capote and I also loved Breakfast at Tiffany's but I didn't really care that much for the movie, I liked the book's ending better
I stink at grammar... and I'm an English major!!!
I played the clarinet in the Razorback Marching Band...
During my college band career, I went to five away trips... TEXAS, KENTUCKY, LSU, AUBURN and MISSISSIPPI STATE... fun times only one was a fly trip and that was AUBURN... I can write an entire series on those experiences...
I lived in Kansas for a good portion of my life, Garden City and Dodge City and never once experienced a real tornado... sure the sirens went off, and there was sightings of funnel clouds, but I never really experienced damage, my first real experience was when I was in Atlanta for the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament, sitting in the Georgia Dome as a F-3 tornado caused major damage in downtown Atlanta... that was scary... I could have died with a bunch of UK fans!

I'm certainly not a UK fan and was never a Memphis fan, but he will bring more media attention. I surely hope that Calipari doesn't bring drama to the SEC, and who knows he might. All coaches have baggage. Calipari is now the highest paid coach in the NCAA, crazy. Recession? What recession? I just hope that he can get by with his eight year 31.65 million dollar contract. And on the amount of his salary... that's insane... crazy insane... making that amount of money just proves once again, that college sports are not just a game. On a side note, is it just me or when you look at John Calipari, does the Godfather theme song play in the background??? (it's probably just me...)

Well I read today that Michael Vick got an literary agent... wtf???? Yes that Michael Vick! I'll admit it, I'm jealous!!! Who knew that former Atlanta Falcon quarterback and inmate at Leavenworth could write? Hum? Maybe his "book" will be ghost written. Has to be right? Seriously, who is going to go out and buy that if it's bought by a publisher, oh of course it will be... what am i thinking! People love controversy!!! But there is one thing for sure, PETA will probably be out in full force against this. You know what, I would love to read his query letter, if he wrote one, since he is famous and a celebrity he probably got his foot through the door. I'm angry... I'm pissed... life is not fair sometimes. I sent that exact agency that supposedly represents Vick a query letter and never heard from them. Tomorrow is the last game of the season for the Hogs. Will we win? We haven't won a SEC game on the road this entire season, and we've only won two games in the SEC, (Alabama and Georgia) and they were both at home. As a Hog fan, I don't want to say that I want this season to be over already, but I'll say that I'm really glad baseball season is here! "THIS IS BASEBALL!!!" But who knows, maybe the Hogs win tomorrow, go down to Tampa, beat Florida on Thursday and then win on Friday, Saturday, and then Sunday, and then make it into the NCAA tourney. Maybe? Who knows stranger things have happened.

I cheered for the Cardinals, but I will be the first to admit, I am no fan, but I will cheer for anyone, I mean anyone that is playing against the Steelers! Since it is Sunday, here are seven things that I noticed about the game…

1) Jennifer Hudson sang the National Anthem and it was very good…chills even… that girl can sing!

2) John Madden is an idiot! I’m paraphrasing but Madden said about Harrison’s 100 yard interception run for a TD, “Guy runs that far and that hard, give that guy a touchdown!” What? Now we give touchdowns for effort? John Madden is an idiot!

3) Bruce Springsteen… blah…

4) The refs sucked… but don’t they always?

5) The Steelers team is a bunch of thugs… (Am I being offensive and unfair to the thugs?)

6) Commercials were okay, just okay, I liked the Coke Zero commercial right at the end… and the movie trailers too… but how many more Fast and Furious movies does the world need?

Rivalries

Rivalries, that’s what this football weekend (including Friday) has been about, with such games as, Arkansas/LSU, (Yea! Arkansas won 31-30!) Oklahoma/Oklahoma State, Georgia/Georgia Tech, Oregon/Oregon State, Mississippi State/Ole Miss, Auburn/Alabama, USC/Notre Dame, and all with their technical names, the Civil War, the Iron Bowl, Battle for the Boot, the Egg bowl, good old fashioned hate, and many more, but if you just say the name of the two teams and will probably send visions of past years in your mind. For example, my team, Arkansas and LSU, we beat them last year at Death Valley and they probably thought that they would return the favor in the Dump (not the official name of War Memorial in Little Rock, but it fits, if you have ever stepped one foot into that old, very old stadium), well it was another Miracle on Markham, (when Matt Jones was at Arkansas in 2002, we had the first Miracle on Markham that sent us to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game), it was the same end zone and the same corner of the end zone, it was déjà vu. But it got me thinking, not the Arkansas/LSU game, but the whole rivalry thing. I started writing a sequel for my story, the Dixies, (and no I don’t have the first one published, and no I don’t have an agent, but still if I don’t work on it, I will go crazy and that would not be good). Well it got me thinking, in my story the secret society group, the Dixies, has rivals, just like any old middle school. And it’s taken seriously, just like we take rivalries in college football seriously. My story takes place in the south (in a regular school), where football is a religion, it contains a lot of football references and schools, mostly the SEC, sorry ACC, but the SEC according to me is the best! There’s Ally, George, Missy, and Lulu and outsider, Yankee girl Tennie, they are the main characters. The Dixies first accept Tennie, then exile her, accept her again, and then, well let’s just say that a little ex-lax and a white chocolate mocha are involved. Even the north and the south are considered rivals. Then another group, which I call the Non-PopuLARS, (Lexie, Abby, Roxy, and Sadie), they consider themselves rivals with the Dixies. Just like middle school. Well in my next book that I’ve been working on, it deals with more football, since that’s what the south is all about. Each Dixie has a main college football team that they defend and cheer for, Ally/Alabama, George/Georgia, Missy/Ole Miss and Lulu/LSU, Tennie really doesn’t have a SEC school, since she is a Yankee, but she does claim The Ohio State Buckeyes. This book also has a new character, Lilliana and she is a major rival with the Dixies. I know it sounds confusing, but really its not. Don’t mess with a Dixie!

Tennie Nash, is not only a new student to Harpeth Middle School, in Tennamissalag County, she’s also a Yankee, a NORTHERNER! And for the people in the South it’s as if she has the plague. Well when the Dixies, a secret society sorority, which everyone knows about, befriend her and after learning Tennie’s momma’s maiden name, they take her under their wing, which ensues war! The school divides into two groups, the Dixies and the Non-PopuLARS. Boundary lines are drawn, dodge balls are thrown and secrets are revealed. But all seems well at Harpeth Middle School, however when a Non-PopuLAR uncovers the real truth behind Tennie’s Momma’s maiden name, the secret society sorority turns upside down, Tennie’s kicked out, shunned, threatened and even given a little x-lax, it’s as if one Civil War between the north and the south isn’t enough.

Even though Tennie wants to be a new and improved Tennie, her Yankee heritage keeps getting in the way. A dead girl and some tattle telling along the way, more than popularity is at stake. Sadly, Tennie still wants to be a Dixie, wants to be popular and just wants the dead Southern girl to leave her alone.

THE DIXIES is a quirky 40,000 word YA novel with humor, battles here and there and maybe a little Southern uprising along the way.

Good old fashioned rivalries, the football kind or the middle school kind are taken seriously. That’s why I think my book is relevant. Their real students and football is involved, which practically half of the people in this country watch and care about, or lie and say that they watch when they really don’t. I wish that an agent would see this. What I’ve noticed down south, especially here in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is if you put a Hog on something, people will buy it, especially if it’s for middle grade/young adult type of age group. And I can probably say with a lot of assurance that the same is true with the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Ole Miss Rebels and even The Ohio State Buckeyes. I know everyone says this about their book, but I think it’s true. The south needs representation and I think my book, The Dixies, is just the football! (hahaha!) Wooo Pig Sooie!!!!

I mean come on people watch the show! I’m sick of my favorite shows always getting canceled. I really like Veronica Mars and then it went away. I can’t handle it again. It still amazes me that television people keep certain shows and get rid of others. There is a certain show on CBS, I won’t name names, but I can’t believe they keep it on, I’ll tell you when it’s on, Wednesday night’s at 7:00 pm central time. I mean seriously, seriously! Please television gods don’t take away my quirky Wednesday night at 7:00 pm central time show. I will cry. L

The Ambassadors

I have to read The Ambassadors by Henry James for a class that I am taking. Oh…my…gosh! I think it has to be the most boring piece of literature; I have ever had to read. I honestly have to read, reread and then re-reread what I have read, in order for me to comprehend what I had just read. It is very time consuming. Maybe it’s just me, maybe others can get through it with no problem whatsoever, but me, I can’t, I just can’t, and it’s not like I haven’t tried, because I have. I have devoted many hours to this piece of work. I’ve written three manuscripts and sent out dozens and dozens of queries over the years, spent time on message boards and had people critique what I have written, and it all comes back to the very first paragraph/page for me. If I can get through that, then I can possibly get through the entire book. But no! I can’t even get through the first sentence, before I start daydreaming. It’s a just sad. To be honest, if I wrote something like this and sent it off to an agent, they probably would tell me, “It’s too wordy, it doesn’t make sense, and so on and so on.” It most likely would not get published. I’m not saying that the Ambassadors, is a bad book, because I’m not, I really can’t tell now to be honest. And I like Henry James, Washington Square and Daisy Miller are probably my favorites of his literature masterpieces. But The Ambassadors, as of right now, I just can’t wait to move on.

Publishing Industry

Everyone is wondering, questioning, and praying that the economy does not affect the publishing industry. I for one am one of them. I am trying to break into this industry and with all that’s happening in not just the economy of the United States but the world economy it does make you think. However, I’m not to the throw my pencils and pens, get rid of my computer just yet type of girl. For one thing, I have a feeling it will get better, because that old saying is true, what goes down must come right back up. Another thing, during the Great Depression is when we got all the great literature, that if you are an English literature major you will probably have to read sooner or later. Like the New York Times article said, Gone with the Wind was published in 1936 and it sold a million copies and stayed on the best sellers list for two years. Literature can help people in their misery. People can get lost in a great adventure book, in a fantasy book or even a romance.
Though publishers will probably be more selective when it comes to handing out contracts and big advances, I don’t think that necessarily means that they won’t buy the next big thing. And consumers, in my opinion, if they will spend $45.00 bucks on one ticket for a mediocre football season, spend at least that on food at games and more than that amount on souvenirs, I honestly think that the publishing industry will be just fine. I mean Tina Fey (I know she is a “celebrity”) got a seven figure deal, it can’t be all that bad, can it?

I’m beginning to wonder if we need to stop saying Texas when we say guns and add a new state, like Alabama. This isn’t the first time that people got shot over ‘Bama. And sadly enough, it probably won’t be the last. I’m the first to say that football is not just a game, it’s really not. But gun violence is certainly not the way you should handle a loss. Act like you’ve been there before, because god only knows you have. True this time it was LSU that lost and Alabama that won but according to the Associated Press both parties had weapons. So someone was most likely going to carry out some threat of violence. Oh, don’t you love the SEC? If I remember correctly a few years back after a ‘Bama loss, a son (not really for sure there) asked to borrow the car and was denied access by the father (also not really for sure there) the son (?) got shot. In the heat of the moment, I guess anything can happen. Oh, and I love the part at the end of the story, when a cop tells the reporter, “Alcohol may have played a role.” Hahahaha! Really? I know two people are dead, and that is really, really sad, and I pray for both families, but come on, it’s the south; football and alcohol go hand in hand and a lot of people have guns, so when you put all three together, it can be a deadly mix. So what I am saying is don’t mix all three! So I’m really not surprised that this kind of stuff doesn’t happen more often. In the south football is a religion, for the good or for the bad, I guess you can be the judge.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

I saw the trailer for, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, I really want to see this movie, but since I live in Northwest Arkansas, we don’t get movies unless they are the big blockbusters, oh well… anyway, I went to the library and checked out the book, which the movie was adapted. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is by John Boyne, it takes place in Germany during World War II. Bruno, the son a Nazi commander, is one of the main characters. His family having lived in a mansion in Berlin is sent to “Out-with,” which is most likely Auschwitz, for Bruno’s father’s job. Bruno is very upset, having to leave his friends, his house and everything that he knew. One day he sees a fence with many people wearing striped pajamas walking behind the fence. Being very bored and always fond of exploring he goes to the fence and meets a little boy in striped pajamas named Shmuel. They talk every afternoon and become fast friends. After a case of head lice, Bruno’s head is shaved. Bruno thinks that Shmuel and he look very much alike. This is where I lost it. Shmuel can’t find his dad and Bruno digs underneath the fence to help Shmuel look for his dad. I cried, cried and cried some more. I love history books, especially ones dealing with the Holocaust. The ending, oh… my… gosh, the ending! I won’t give it away, but everyone has to read this book. No matter, how old you are, since it is a children’s/young adult type. But hey, I do write middle grade/young adult books, so it’s okay! I just wish that the movie was coming to Northwest Arkansas, because I really want to see it.

Bill O’Reilly’s new book, A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity, to be honest, I haven’t really finished it, and I had to stop, like on page 112 (really not for sure about page number). Because---there was a big mistake in the book, and I can not believe O’Reilly, an editor, or heck even a high paid fact checker did not catch it. O’Reilly wrote that Wilbur Mills, a powerful Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives and chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, was from the great state of Ohio. Oh…dear…Lord… Mills was not from Ohio, he was from Arkansas. I don’t know how you can mix up the two. Sure I can maybe understand if O’Reilly wrote, Mills was from Alabama, or Mills was from Alaska, or even Arizona, but Ohio. I just don’t understand that. For one thing, there is not even an O, an H, or even, I. See there was a scandal involving Mills in 1974, something to do with a car, a cop, a stripper and alcohol, like all good scandals do. Despite the scandal he was reelected to Congress, (don’t ya love Arkansans) then after another embarrassing incident at a burlesque house (I think, don’t quote me) Mills stepped down form the HWMC and admitted that he did have a problem with alcohol, he didn’t run for re-election. I just found that really, really bad that O’Reilly didn’t fact check this himself or worse that an editor didn’t catch it. It’s not like Arkansas is a small state, I mean for goodness sake we gave you Clinton.

It took fourteen years but finally my high school, where I spent four glorious years, beat Garden City High School on friday night, with a score 22-16, and got back the hatchet. We never won it when I was in school, but now Dodge City High School has it, Yay! Go Demons!!!
